It is very sad to not that children are also becoming victims of identity theft. But what's really annoying is the fact that children are very innocent beings and yet, they are being prone to such fraudulent activities. Often, children do not realize that they've been victims of identity theft until they reach a certain age where they can file for a car or student loan.

As soon as any member of your family gets his or her own social security number, whether they be babies or kids, you should start monitoring their credit report regularly. It will require a lot of diligence and attention but the pay-off that you will receive will be way better off.
